Frank Redmond >
Weekday Cook
Frank was born in Cumberland, MD, in 1963 but moved to Washington County when he was 5. He spend most of his adolescent life in Sharpsburg, MD, and came back to Allegany County in 1996. In 2008, he hit rock bottom, which landed him at the Union Rescue Mission where he was welcomed with open arms. That is, as he describes, where he saw the work of Jesus. Up to that point, he thought he was saved but quickly realized he only knew of Jesus, but not as his personal Savior. It wasn’t long before URM offered him a job in the kitchen. When he began working for URM, he grew closer to Christ through the chapel services offered here as well as through the love of the other staff. He has been on staff now for over 13 years and enjoys helping others in need. In the spring of 2021, Frank married and started a family on a small farm in West Virginia that he loves very much. He accredits everything he has to the love he has found in Christ. In his free time, when he’s not spending time with family or working on his homestead, he enjoys watching tv, especially NASCAR.
