Pastor David and Andrea Ziler, both native to Allegany County, have served the lost and broken of the community at the Union Rescue Mission since 2016 as the Executive and Assistant Directors. Together, the Zilers have two children and have been happily married since 2004. Professionally, Pastor David has his degrees in Human Services and Social Work, and spent the majority of his career prior to being called into ministry working as a Mental Health Therapist and a Case Manager for the State of Maryland. He became an ordained pastor for the Church of the Brethren in March of 2016 after two years of licensed ministry. David now holds his ordination with the Covenant Brethren Church and serves as pastor of Danville Covenant Brethren Church. Andrea has worked the majority of her career in the hospital setting as a Registered Nurse prior to the Lord leading her into full time ministry. She currently homeschools their children and serves the homeless population by working as the nurse for the medical clinic of the Mission as well as leading Bible studies for the female residents. In their free time, the Zilers love traveling to national parks, hiking the outdoors, mountain biking, camping, and watching their kids play soccer.
