Jason Carver >
Assistant Director
Pastor Jason began his journey at the Union Rescue Mission in 2018 when his church came to help prepare food boxes and help with our annual Christmas Party. He became a more familiar face as a ministry intern in January 2022 as part of his degree program, working alongside Mission staff for a period of four months. Over the course of the 200-hour internship, he grew to appreciate the amazing impact of Matthew 25 being lived out at the Mission and was humbled and excited to be offered a full-time pastoral position. He is a seminary graduate from Regent University’s School of Divinity, having completed his Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Christian Theology, and is ordained through Christ Community Church of Augusta, WV. You can frequently find Pastor Jason in the community, reaching out to vulnerable individuals in the Cumberland area by providing them with pastoral and material support. The rest of his time is centered on giving pastoral support to the residents of URM through Bible studies and individual counsel. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, traveling, and all things outdoors.
